Focal Point Medical Staffing is hiring Dietary Cooks for per diem (PRN) positions at one of our Long-Term Care Facility Partners in Kannapolis, NC! See below for full details and benefits.

Salary: $15.00/hr

Schedule/Shifts: 6:00PM - 6:00AM

Position Requirements:

Food Handlers Certification and at least 6 months of experience.
Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Two forms of identification (Driver's License and Social Security card).
Full COVID Vaccination.
Negative TB test or chest X-ray
Reliable transportation.
Clean Criminal Background.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines and planned menus.

Maintain food safety, sanitation standards, and kitchen cleanliness.

Assist in menu planning and ensure dietary restrictions are followed.

Monitor inventory, handle food deliveries, and prevent cross-contamination.

Work closely with dietitians, nursing staff, and dietary aides to meet residents' needs.

Maintain accurate records of meal preparation, waste, and inventory.

Working Conditions:

The Cook will be required to work in a healthcare facility, including nursing homes or assisted living facilities. The role involves standing for long periods and occasional lifting of supplies or equipment. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
